Last but not least!

Attention students.

I have uploaded the list of students who have not submitted or did not submit the assignments for the semester. The link of the list is on the main page of the MMLS.

Please read the guidelines. If there are any mistakes or appeals, please see your group leader and myself as soon as possible.

As what I had stated in the review class on Week 13th, the following topics will be covered in the final exam.

PS: I will be putting up the tentative or possible marks for your assignments after the final exam for you to review. They will not be finalised until the final exams are full marked. So the marks will only be tentative to the finalised marks.

Attention Computer Graphics 1 students (FCM)

Submission is NOT OVER YET!

As of today I have yet to get ALL your work. Eventhough I have told everyone to submit to the specific representative of each groupk, not all of you submitted. Therefore, I have no choice but to do the following:

(a) I expect to receive ALL the assignment from ALL students by next week's class. NO EXCEPTIONS!

(b) The submission process for this class is not over yet. So please submit your work to me by next class as required.

Barring list for MCC0013 Computer Graphics 1 FCM

The barring list is out in the MMLS. Please check the list for any mistakes. If there are any mistakes, please see me after class tomorrow (04/09/08).

Those of you who will be barred, you have a chance to appeal with the Dean. Please make sure you find out when the appeal deadline is with the FCM Dean's office. This will be your responsibility.

Also, tentative marks are up online in the MMLS as well. These marks are not finalised and may change.

Mid-term Exam

MCC0013 & MCG1014 & MCG1016 Mid-term Exam. Please study the following topics:
(a) Digital Technology
(b) History of computers
(c) Evolution of the PC
(d) Symbols
(e) PC Components
(f) Binary Counting

Notes are from classnotes (which are uploaded in MMLS), and textbook (The Mighty PC - Chapter 1, 2,3, 4 AND 5 (yes, also chapter 5.)

Format of the Exam - 20 Multiple Choice Questions

For MCC0013 - Exam schedule:

Session 1: 9:15 - 9:45 Group 1 and 2
Session 2: 9:45 - 10:15 Group 3 & 4

Same venue

For MCG1014 & MCG1016 - Same venue and time

Only bring a pen / pencil and eraser. NO calculators, No handphones and no notes.

Cheating will not be permissible and will be dealt with harshly.

Please get a good night's rest and study.

ANOTHER ANNOUNCEMENT:

Also, please go to the MMLS system to the class website. In there I have uploaded new requirements for Assignment 3. Please go to the SCHEDULE and go to ASSIGNMENT 3 link. The new requirements are stated there. There is also a PDF file for you to download for your own keeping.

There should be enough information and time to begin your assignment 3 which is 30% of your grade. Start now!

I have log on to a few blogs to see the progress. I found that many are doing their symbols based on the overall global warming issue.
